Where to stay?
The district comes to life at festival time. Many festival-goers arrive days earlier and leave days later.
If you are bringing your own camper, caravan or RV, then there are plenty of places for you to park.
If you wish to book a room, then you need to do so early, as rooms and beds in the district are booked well in advance.
Some local options available are:
QUINALOW HOTEL
(07) 4692 1167
Greg and Cheryl Daley used to own this pub back in the early ‘90s, then sold it, then bought it back again in 2011, so they’ve seen quite a few squeezebox patrons pass through its doors.
Those booking early will find themselves in the rooms at the pub, while others who travel with their caravans and campervans will set themselves up at the caravan park across the road. Other festival supporters choose to camp in the pub grounds.
The pub verandah is the place to be on Friday nights. Players bring their accordions, lagerphones, washboards, tin whistles, harmonicas, ukuleles, banjos, spoons and the tea chest bass to warm-up and let their hair down before the heading to Maclagan the next day.
